In 1961 Group of countries came together to form a group of nations called the Hague Nations. The aim of the grouping was to reduce the complexities involved in the international document attestation process. Hence the group members abolished the embassy attestation from the legalisation process for documents. If any member countries’ documents are attested with Apostille then the document will be legal in all the member countries of the Hague.
